Slow Cooker Peanut Clusters

Chocolate Christmas Recipe

Slow Cooker Peanut Clusters

As we are getting closer to Christmas I start going through my standard Christmas treats and baking list to see what I should make this year. But I can't help but look up some new ones too, to change things up a bit. And since I'm very partial to chocolate AND peanut butter, I inevitably turn to recipes with those ingredients. I found this one, that actually uses the slow cooker and only a few ingredients, which I thought was just fantastic! To make this a nut-free treat, replace the peanuts with shredded coconut, or dried fruit (or a combination of both)...

Adorable Sock Snowmen

Since there is no snow to use for real snowmen (yet) I thought I should share a fun, cute and creative craft to make a different kind of snowman, using socks! Swedish Gingerbread Cookies (Pepparkakor)

Christmas Recipe Sweden

Swedish Gingerbread Cookies (Pepparkakor)

It's not Christmas until I've made my gingerbread cookies, and since our Swedish gingerbread cookies are quite different from anything I've found here in Canada, I thought I'd share a recipe. These are great to make with kids because they can choose their shapes, and help decorate them too. The recipe makes about 300 cookies (depending on size) which is a lot (although not really in our house) so you can cut it in half or quarter it if you want to just try it out to start. It's really best to use a chilled dough, so make the dough...
