We are continuing with the fall theme this week, with this adorable Pretzel Pumpkin treat! You can never go wrong with a combination of salty pretzels and chocolate, right? So this is a version of the pretzel/chocolate treat that is perfect around Halloween, especially if you are throwing a Halloween party or need a cute treat to send to school. And little hands can help too!
What you need:
16 oz. white melting chocolate
Orange food coloring
1 bag tiny twist pretzels
How to make them:
Heat the melting chocolate according to package directions.
Add food coloring until chocolate is desired tint of orange.
Dip pretzels in chocolate, remove excess chocolate, and then let rest on a sheet of wax paper.
Immediately place a green M&M at the top of the pretzel.
Let sit until chocolate is set.
Peanut Butter version:
If peanut butter is safe in your house, you might like this version! Simply mix together:
1 cup creamy peanut butter
2 tbsp butter, at room temperature
1 cup powdered sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
Roll about 1 tsp of peanut mixture into a ball and squeeze between two pretzels. Chill in the fridge for about an hour, and then dip in the melted chocolate! Yum!
