FAQ - The Putty Edition

Birthday FAQ Play

Crazy Aaron's Thinking Putty has been available at Kids Trading Company for quite some time already, but in that time we have realized just how great and popular of a toy it is! We also get lots of questions from parents who aren't familiar with it yet. So we gathered up a few of the most common ones and answered them below!

Q: It looks cool, but what am do you do with it?
A: Play with it! Squeezing and shaping the putty is totally relaxing and stress relieving. It gives your hands something to do while your mind gets creative. It is just as great for grown-ups at work or home as it is for kids to use at home or in school.

Q: Is it toxic?
A: Thinking Putty is inert, non-toxic, and safe. Thinking Putty is silicone based and contains no latex, gluten, wheat compounds, or phthalates. It is safe for use by people with sensitivity to wheat or latex and will not promote the development of latex allergies.

Q: But is it safe for kids to play with?
A: The putty is non-toxic, but could present a choking hazard for young children if they try to eat it. It's recommended for children aged 3 and up, except for the magnetic putty which is recommended from age 8 and up. Please exercise extra caution around small children. Like all creative toys, Thinking Putty can get messy if left alone with young children.

Q: What if the putty gets stuck somewhere it shouldn't?
A: While Thinking Putty doesn't dry out and can be peeled off any solid surface, it gets a little stickier if it is left on fabric, or say hair. Watch some great videos on how to solve that sticky situation here!

Q: Isn't it basically the same as play-doh or silly putty?
A: Absolutely not! Thinking Putty is in a class of its own - with its own unique physical properties and amazing colors. Thinking Putty does not leave a sticky residue on your hands. You won't feel like you need to "wash up" after playing with Thinking Putty. Thinking Putty is stretchy but bounces like a ball! It tears like paper, and can shatter like ceramic. It comes in colour-changing, magnetic, glow-in-the-dark and even scented varieties.

Unlike all other products, Thinking Putty comes in extra large handfuls and a rainbow of really awesome colors! So pick up tin today and have FUN!
