Recycled Crayons

Everyone has them. Little remnants of crayons that no one wants to use anymore. They litter drawers, toy boxes and... sock drawers? Well, I found this fun and easy way to recycle broken and forgotten crayons into new colorful treasures and I had to share it with you! The new crayons will fit the hands of even the smallest artist, and would make a great birthday gift or party favor.
What you need:

~ Mini muffin pan
~ Wax crayons in assorted colours
How to make them:

~ Preheat oven to 300ºF
~ Peel any paper wrappers off the crayons and break them into smaller pieces.
~ Place the crayons in the muffin tin, filling each cup at least half full. Group crayons from the same colour family together, or mix different colours for a cool rainbow effect. If your crayons are too large, just use a regular muffin tin.
~ Bake the crayons for 15-20 minutes or until the wax is completely melted.
~ Let cool completely - overnight is best. Crayons should pop out easily, if they don't, put the pan in the freezer for 15 minutes and try again.
~ Grab some paper and have fun!
